If you have ever labored with a child attempting to get his feet into stiff boots, you have a feel for my day’s task.
I had a 4×8 sheet of birch to slide through the back of the camper, placing its front end firmly on the floor, then shoving it in and upward, bending it in a 2 foot arc. The goal is to cause the plywood to come into contact with each crossbeam which was liberally covered with a bead of Liquid Nails.
Mostly it worked. Yay!
I had pre-planned with braces and clamps, but never enough. I improvised a lot: note the shower rod and the canoe paddle. I think I’ll get some nice bronze screws to support the glue.
